Milton Katzman

Milton was born in Brooklyn the son of the late Nathan and Sarah (Rosenbloom) Katzman. Mr. Katzman graduated from BMC Durfee High School class of 1941. He then served during WWII with the United States Army Air Corps. Milton was a ball turret gunner on a B-24 bomber, and received the Distinguished Flying Cross. After the war, he worked for the former Arkay Pants Company as a clothing designer for men's outer wear, and retired in 1988. Mr. Katzman was a very active member of Adas Israel Synagogue in Fall River as past treasurer for the Synagogue and brotherhood. Milton was very involved as a quartermaster and member of Post 168 in Fall River and was Deputy for the VAVS at the Brooklyn VA hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mae (Schneider), of 61 years, two daughters Eileen H. Durmont and Nancy B. Needermeyer, son Sheldon S. Katzman, sister Lorraine Kaplan, brother Ret. Lt. Col. Harold Katzman, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
