August 25, 1907 to February 26, 2006

Minnie Weinstein, beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a most unusual woman who was loved and respected by all who she knew. She arrived in the United States shortly after World War I from Russia. Minnie and her family settled in Dorchester, MA. She entered public school and quickly adapted to the language and customs of her new country. At age 18, she married Bernard Weinstein and moved to Biddeford, Maine where Bernard was a business man and a leader in the Jewish community. Minnie was a help-mate to Bernard, providing a Jewish home for her three children, George, Beverly and Erma. Education was very important to her and her children; all graduated from college and graduate school. She had tremendous pride in George's participation in the Jewish War Veterans. Beverly, Erma and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a source of joy and happiness for her. She was proud of all of their accomplishments. She was truly a woman of valor.
